A sewage backup isn't a job for a mop and bucket. Our Sewage Cleanup crews arrive in full PPE, classify the contamination, and follow IICRC S500 blackwater protocols from the first step.

Containment goes up before extraction starts, because the goal on a contamination job isn't just removing the water, it's making sure the contamination doesn't spread to rooms that were never affected.
None of this is unique to a big loss either — the same standard applies whether it's a single-room sewage cleanup call or a larger one.
These four things matter together, not in isolation — certification, speed, honest pricing, and the right equipment are what actually change the outcome of a sewage cleanup call.
Ask for credentials before the work starts, not after — a legitimate sewage cleanup specialist will have them ready.
S500 protocol governs PPE, containment, and disposal on every Category 3 call we handle.
Technicians suit up in full protective gear before entering a contaminated area.
Disposal documentation is provided as part of the job record.
Sewage backups get priority dispatch given the health risk involved.
We don't treat sewage cleanup as a single generic task — each part of the process below gets its own specific approach.
Classification determines PPE level, containment approach, and which materials must be removed.
Extraction equipment dedicated to contaminated water keeps cross-contamination from clean-water jobs.
Porous materials can't be fully sanitized after blackwater contact, which is a safety call, not a cost-cutting one.
Every surface that had contact with contaminated water gets disinfected with hospital-grade antimicrobial treatment.
Sewage odor gets treated at the source through disinfection and controlled airflow, not masked with fragrance.
Final verification includes both moisture and contamination checks before sign-off.
This is the same sequence every sewage cleanup job follows, regardless of size.
Dispatch gathers just enough detail to load the right equipment before the truck leaves.
The truck that arrives is stocked specifically for Sewage Cleanup jobs, not a generic handyman setup.
A technician assesses the scope on-site and provides a written flat-rate quote before any work begins.
Work continues until the job meets our documented completion standard, verified before we call it done.

Naomi F., Hammond"The odor was completely gone after their disinfection process, not just covered up."
Katrina L., Hammond"Our crawl space took a sewage backup and they treated it with the same containment protocol as a finished room."
Preston G., Hammond"Disposal documentation came through clean and organized for our property records."
Victor N., Hammond"A backup in our restaurant kitchen got same-day response given the health code concerns, and they understood the urgency immediately."
Grace T., HammondIf your question about sewage cleanup isn't covered here, call +1-844-578-1604 and we'll walk you through it directly.
Our sewage cleanup coverage spans 54015, with trucks positioned to reach any address in the service area quickly.
Coverage extends past the immediate area, so an outlying Hammond address isn't treated as a lower priority for sewage cleanup.
